THE AURORA

In Saturday's issue a paragraph appeared referring to the Antarctic exploring vessel Aurora, winch, it was statod, had left an Australian port some months ago for South America and was overdue at her destination. Incidentally it was mentioned that at the outset of ber voyage she had put back to port in a leaky condition, hut had been patched up and sailed again in due course. The term "patched up," it lias been suggested to us, might convey the impression that the vessel was not thoroughly overhauled before putting to sea again. Such is not the case. As a matter of fact the local agents inform us that she was given a complete overhaul.
