YESTERDAY'S APPEALS, . Tho First Wellington Military Service Board heard an number of appeals yesterday. Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., presided and with him were Messrs. 1). M'Laven and G. Williams. Captain P. Baldwin represented tho military authoIt was urged in tho case of 'William O Morris that the appellant was engaged in a very important industry connected with tho production of raints from New Zealand materials. Tho m>ard adjourned tho appeal sino die An application by Denis Michael, telegraphist, for leavo wns refused. Captain Baldwin said that if the appellant wero found to bo over years of iiKO Hicro would bs no objection to his bring exempted from military service on tlin ground of public interest. _ The board adjourned tho appeal sine die. The caso of William Patterson, grocer, of Tinakori Eoad. was adjourned to the first sitting of the board in December. The board adjourned indchnitcly.
