The appointment ot Assistant Adju-tant-General at Headquarters, under tho Department of the Adjutant-General to tho forces, which wus cancelled by nolificatiou in the New Zealand Gazette, is hereby re-established (dated August 1917). Stall'. Captain (temp. Major) C. U. Andrews, N.Z.S.C., relinquishes tho appointment ot Director of Organisation (A.G.'J), and is appointed .Assistant Adjutant-General at Headquarters, retaining the rank of major whilst so employed (dated August 27, 1917). , Captain A. J. J[ f J. Cross, linaMached List (b), is appointed Director ot Organisation (A..G.3) (tamp.), 'vice (temp. Major) C. E. Andrews, xs./j.o.U (dated August 27, 1917). District Stafl*. Major A. G. .B. I'nce, J«th (Waikato) Regiment, is appointed Assistant Adju-tant-General, Auckland Military District (dated September 1, 39X7). N./i. Expeditionary l'orcc. Capt. T. AV. i'odimervillc. Unattached List (b), Genorui Listi is appointed Assistant Camp Quartermaster, tfcatherston Camp (dated July iM, 19L7). William M'Namara is appointed Assistant Director o£ Recruiting (dated September 1, 1917). Lieut, (temp. Capt.) L. Miles, Unattached List (a), is appointed Deputy-Di-Tector of Kecruiting (dated September 1. 1917). C'apt. W. li. Mercer, M.8., B.fe., N.Z.M.C., is appointed a member of a Special District Medical Board, and ' granted tlio pay of Licut.-Col at Expeditionary Force rates ivhilst so acting (dated July tB, 1917 J. N.Z. Permanent Staff. Staff Sergt.-Major A. .T. King is appointed District Musketry Instructor, Wellington Military District, and is granted the temporary rank of lieutenant, and attached to the N.Z.S.C. whilst so omployed (dated September J,. 19)7). , Jitk (Wellington) Begiment. Q.-Sergt.. Fl Joplin to bo 2nd lieutenant, supernumerary to establishment (dated August 27, 1917). Utli (South Otago) Eegiment. Captain S. Jtice, N.Z.E.F., is struck oft' the strength with effect from September 28, 1917, and is absorbed into the establishment with his original rank and seniority thorein, viz., captain. 17th. (Euahine) Eegiment. Sergt. B. Gardner to bB 2nd lieutenant (dated August 27, 1917). N.fl. Medical Corps. Capt. B. J. Dudley, M.8.C.5., Ung., L.R.C.P., Lond., is granted the temp, rank of major ivliilst doing duty wirli tho hospital ship Marama (dated August 21, 1917). Capt. It. Hardwick-Smith, M.8., 8.5., Caatb., F.E.C.S., Eng., is granted the temp, rank ot major whilst doing duty with the hospital ship Marama (dated August 2S, 191"). Capt.. W. H. Simpson, J[.B., N.Z/.l'U''., is struck off the strength with effect/from August 27, 1917, and is absorbed,'with his original rauk and seniority, viz., lieutenant. -Unattached List (bj.
