Miller, wharf labourer, of Lyttelton. claimed from the Union Steam Ship- Company, of J«ew Zealand the sura of .£2500 as general damages an.l 10s. as sp- 3^ l .^™ l, and hospital expenses-to-the date of .the issue of the writ for - injuries received, as the result of-an accident susta ned on the steamship Tarawera .Lyttelton on the night.of January 1- last, was concluded > yesterday, afternoon. Ihe jury returned a verdict for.lhe full amount clajmed, but judgment was not enteral up pending argument- of important legal points raised.
