Cattle: Empty store cows, from £7 10s. to £8 55.; calves, from 20s. i to 355.; pigs, empty, £2. fihecp: Empty cull ewes, 205.' Messrs. Abraham arid Williams, Ltd., report:—Ai Palmcrstou North, on Thursday, an average yarding of stock was submitted to a pood attendance of buyera. There was a fairly good demand, and lato rates were fully maintained. , Pat hoggets brought 325. 4d.; cood mixed hofrgest, 295. Id.; small hoggets, 225. 3d.; cull ditto, 13s. 6d.; "aged ewes in larnb, 205.; forward cows, ' £10 -35." to £10 155.; fresh-conditioned cows, :12s. 6d. to £9 55.; store cows, £7 3s. to £6: small ditto, £5 to £6 155.; dairy cows, £B.los. to £11; best springing heifers, £10 10s. to £12 10s.; backward and small ditto, £6 15s. to £8 155.; eighteen-month hoifers, £4 13s M to £5 10s.; small yearling heifers. £3 10s. .to £3 17s. 6d.; yearling steers (ha<l colourB), £4 12s. 6d. to £5 $s. At-FcUding, on Friday, both sheep and cattle came forward in fairly large numbers. The sale . was well attended, and there was spirited competition for all classes of stock. Sheep were in good demand, and wo had a total clearance, prices showing a marked improvement, fitoro and fat cattlo also sold well, prices being liigher than at late sales. There Yvas also a good inquiry for dairy stock, whicli brought full values.
