DUNEDIN MANUFACTURERS' RESO- - LUTION, BOARD HIGHLY NECESSARY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, August 31. The Dunedin Manufacturers' Association has passed a resolution expressing the opinion that a continuance- of the National Efficiency Board .is highly necessary in the interests of industry during the war, as the information collected by such a tody must be of the greatest «lue to the Government, to manufacturers, and to the industrial community generally.
AN OAMARU APIEAL. By Telegraph-Press Association. Oamaru, August 31. The Borough Council resolved- "That this council views with concern he possibility of the Dominion losing the services of the Efficiency Board, composed o business men having an intimate knowledge of the requirements or the country n the present time of stress a knowledge gained from close investigation of matters coming withm the purview of the board, and tho council trusts that Cabinet will take such a course as will avert the retirement of the members of fne board and the loss of service of great value to the Dominion.
