In resiard to Iho tea room, an offer which was greatly appreciated by Mr. Robertson, who was at tbo head of tho arrangements, was that of a number of waitresses, who gavo their services voluntarily. None of them were local, so that tho patriotic s»irit which actuated tho offer was all tho more appreciated. - There was no lack of music in connection with tho fair, as tho Miromar Band, the Patriotic Band, and tho Pipo Band were all contributing thoir services, as well as the New Zealand Natives' Orchestra and Turner's mandoline players. Through the courtesy of the corporation tho school grounds woro lit up by electrio light in the evening, and an out-of-doors concert provided by the bands. Tho sideshows were a. source of attraction also. By means of a bottle rally, which, was hold a little while ago, tho sunn of £i 0 was raised, which served as a nucleus for this memorial fund. A design of the memorial had been illustrated on the prograninie, and there can be little doubt that such a scheme as it embodies will keep green as long as the school lasts the memory of those who laid down tlieir lives for their country. The secretary, to whose energy tho fair owed a great deal of its success, was, Air: A. G. Wallace. To-day is the last day .upon which the fair will be held.
