SEVERAL ATTACKS REPULSED ANOTHER BAD DAY FOR THE ENEMY ON THE MEUSE By Telceraph-PrcßS Association-Copyright London, August 27. ■ A French official communique states: "The Germans are active on the Aisnc. After lively bombardments special detachments attacked at various points, notably cast, of Moisy Farm, east and west of Cerny, and on both eides of Hurtebise. Our watchfulness frustrated a violent enemy counter-attack which was attempted in tho soiithern outskirts of Beaumont, on tho right bank of tho Meuse. Our fire annihilated his efforts. A German official report states: "Violent English .attacks north-west of Lens broko down heavily. Tho enemy gained local advantages west of Le Catelot.
