GERMAN INTRIGUE TO STOP ALLIES' i SUPPLIES (Rec. August (i, 11.30 p.m.) London, August C. Serious strikes have occurred at Bilbao, where 27,000 metal-workers aro out. Fifteen thousand miners havo promised to striko on August 13. Somo of them aro demanding a 35 per cent, increase. It is believed that Germany is financing tho strike in order to restrict tho Allies' supplies of pig-iron and stcol plates—Aus.N.Z. Cablo Assn.
