Ho left New Zealand as a first lieutenant with, tho Eiflo Brigade for Egypt, and there was promoted to a captaincy for noted service Later, with Ms brigade, no proceeded to France, where ho was wounded. Ho later rejoined tho brigade, and tho honours conferred upon him and his brother are esteemed aa further honours for the AVanganui Collegiate School.
