Carver, J. Brassol, fi. Cicndou, W. Cotton, W. Kcrr, J. Ward and A. Hobbs. The. Aetinß-Mnio Minister (tho Hon. Kusscll) ivroto asking ivhat action if any tho council had taken as proposed to take in tho direction of prohibiting tho exhibition on hoardince and in vestibules of theatres of objectionable posters. In tho conrso of discussion it .•was stated that it was doubtful whether a local body had. power to deal with tho matter, although, it vrae admitted that it was a question that required attention. 1 inally it wus resolved to BURj&st to tho Minister that' tho police ehould ho authorised to take action in tho matter. It was decided to consider tho matter at the neit meeting.
