Cablo Assn. A TURKISH COMMUNIQUE DISPROVED London, June I. Mr. W. T. Massey (war correspondent with tho Egyptian Army) reports that enemy aviators on May 24 attempted to cut tho railway and pipe line at Saloena, but wero driven off beforo, they woro ablo to do any damage. It is pointed out in London that Mr. Masse.y's report disposes of a Turkish communique which claimed that the railway and pipes were destroyed.—A us.-X.Z. Cable Aesn. ARMY AND NAYY CASUALTIES London, Juno 1. Tho Army casualties shown in lists published in May totalled 5991 officers and 107,075 men. The naval losses number 177 officers and 2317 men.—Aus.-N.Z.
