ANNUAL MEETING.' The annual meeting of tho New Zealand Club was held on Tuesday. A l'air number of members attended, and Mr. C. E. Wheelor (president) occupied tho chair. Tho annual report stated there were 286 members on tho roll, including 22 on military service. The balance-sheet showed tho club to bo in a satisfactory financial condition. The credit balance brought forward from last year -was .£42 7s. Id., and the income during the current year was .£O3. The expenditure amounted to .£6B 155.,' and thero were outstanding liabilities totalling £.1 Is. Allowing for those tho funds of the club were in credit £ad lis. Id. The members showed their appreciation of tho efforts of the present committee during tho particularly difficult circumstances obtaining in the past year by unanimously TO-electing them to office a.s follows:—President, Mr. C. E. Wheeler; past presidents, Messrs. P. S. Pope and E-. H. Webb; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. E. Spencer and E. B. Davis; committee, Messrs. R. J. Aekins, E. S. Baldwin, C. M. Luke, W. M. Page, and C. E. Smith; hon. auditor, Mr. D.E. Beaglehole; hon. secretary and .treasurer, Mr. Edward P. Lambert, in place of Mr. G. 0. Sutton, onlisted. It was decided: "That tho club carry on for tho ensuing year without charging any subscription to members. This iin view of tho particular circumstances which obtained in the past year and will probably continue this year, and in view of the fact that tho balance of tho funds in hand wonld be sufficient to carry over for twelve months."
