Tlie Ngatoro is to leave Portland Island ibis afternoon for Wellington,' via ports. Who should get here on Saturday, nnd has general cargo and cement to discharge. The Ngahero should get hero to-monw from Greymonth, and -will leave again tomorrow for Napier. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Oaptain J. Morrison lias taken chargo of the Arnhura, which commenced in tho Auckland-Gisborno running on Saturday. Captain H. Drydcn lias gone on leave. Mr. W. Clarko Campbell has joined tho Mararoa as third officer. Mr. W. M'Leau has joined the Ona.vya as engineer. There is ft possibility that tho Wavertey. which has been undergoing alteration and overhaul hero, will lcavo on Thursday or Friday for Patea. She comes off tho slip to-day, and will be inspected. The Eunico was delayed by bad weather, and owinsr to her lato arrival hero yesterday does not now leave for Lyttelton until to-ntght.
Owing to heavy seas the Defender has been delayed at Hokitika, but It is hoped that the vessel will bo able to leave this afternoon. She should get here lato on Wednesday or on Thursday.
Tho Amokura is spending a. few days at Tauranga, where sho ia being painted and generally overhauled. Sho may get to Wellington this week. Tho Hlmitangi is duo to-day from tho Chatham Islands, via Lyttelton. Sho -is to sail at noon od Wednesday for Waitangi and Owenga (Chatham .Islands) and Pitt Island.
Tlie Corinna. is timed to leaTe New Plymouth at noon today for Wcllingrton. She leaves hero on Wednesday for southern ports.
From Auckland, Gisborne, and Napier, Iho Tarawcra, should arrive here towards noon to-day. Sho is to sail at 5 p.m. for L.vttelton and Duncdin.
The Kini was to havo loft Duncdin at noon yesterday, and is dne hero on Thursday. Sho calls at Timani en route.
Tho Eosamond is to sail at 5 p.m. to, morrow for Now Plymouth. «
A new wharf recently erected at Walu Bay, Suva, has been opened. At prosent 'about. 600 ft. of wharf, is n,vailable for shipping, although a far greater length than this is being completed. Ono receiving shed has been -placed in commission, and is 250t, long by 50ft. wide. It contains accommodation for Customs and shipping clerks, and also lias a spirit room.
Captain Vendoro. with a full crew, left hero yesterday for Blenheim. The Wairaii will bo recommissioned, and is expected hero lato to-day or to-morrow.
Tho Wakatu left on a, speoial trip to Foiton last night. Sho is duo back tomorrow, and leaves tho samo day for Kitikonrn, and Lyttelton.
Owing to a slight mishap in tho machine room the Kahika is not expected to leave here for Greymouth until an early hour this morning.
