Mails for United Kingdom, America, and all oversea countries, including Australia, will be dispatched from time to time by best route without special notification.

Correspondence for all neutral countries is subject to censorship. Parcels for dispatch by steamers and trains, with th# exception of the usual ferry steamers for southern offices, close fit the Chief Post Office, Wellington, one hour before the advertised times of closing of mails. The parcel post mail per Main Trunk express closes at the 0.P.0. at 11.50 a.m., and for the south per ftsrry steamer at 5.45 p.m. Late lotters for mails beyond tho Dominion cannot in future be posted on the steamer, but must be posted in the lateletter posting-box et the Chief Post Office up to the appointed time aliown on the mail notice. The advertised times for closing mails by steamers are liable to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. As tho last clearance of the city' receivers is made at 6.45 p.m. on Saturdays, all correspondence for the Sunday night Auckland express must bo posted at the Chief Post Office not later than S p.m. on Sunday. Unlosß otherwise specified, registered letters and parcels-post packages must bo handed in and money-orders obtained one hour before the ordinary mail closes. All books and sample-packets and newspapers for places within tho Domimuu must be posted half an hour before the ordinary letUr-mafi oloses. . The public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing. money ur valuables intended to bo sent by post.
