Deputy Chappe-de-Laino, who was sent _on a mission to Salonika hy tho l'oreign Affairs Committee, states that if General Sarrail had had two nioro divisions when Monastir fell, he could have gong on to Usloib, liberating half of Serbia, and threatening tho high road to Constantinople. However, a gigantic work has been accomplished, but the enemy had now been reinforced. Ho .urges that the blockade of the Otranto Channel should be made complete, and that the road from Santi Quaranta to Monastir be finished, thus enabling troops and material to bo brought tip moro quickly. "A tremendous ' tasks confronts the Eastern army," he said.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. THE DISCIPLINING OF GREECE CERTAIN DEMANDS STILL UNFULFILLED ! (Rec. March 8, 8.20 p.m.) London, March 7. In the House of Commons, Mr. A. J. Balfour (Foreign Minister) stated' that the evacuation of troops and artillery from North Greece was proceeding satisfactorily, but certain demands had still been unfulfilled. About 6000 regulars and 3000 gendarmerie wero still north of Peloponnesus. The Greek Government had released the Vonizelists, and had promiced! te abandon proceedings against them.—Router.
