FINAL LIST OF STATIONS

The president (Rev. AV. A. Sinclair) presided at Saturday's sitting of the Methodist Conference. With respect to local preachers and their work, a committee was set up to consider and report on the status of suehj preachers with regard to tho following:— The best method of securing capable men to take up the work of local preach-ing;-making provision under the direction of conference for the study of suitable subjects with a view to securing greater efficiency in tho work; making provision for tho payment of out-of-pocket expenses incurred in travelling to and from appointments to all local preaohers; the possibility of establishing a fund to assist local preachers in old age and infirmity, also as regards matters of discipline and organisation.
