Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having a lair entry of both 'sheep and cattle at their Taihape Bale on Wednesday, all of which changed hands at satisfactory pricrs. Lamb'B were in good demand,, and also good ewes. There was a large number of failing and bad-mouthed ewes yarded, most of which were sold at lower rates. A fair yarding of cattle sold at late rates. As our Palmreston North stock sale, on February 22, we had a fairly good entry of sheep and a small yarding of cattle. Fair prices ruled throughout, and the major portion of the stock penned found buyers. A line of Bood 2-year-old springing heifers, sold on account of Mr. Geo, Craw, , Linton, brought from £11 Is. Competition was spirited, and the whole yardiug of sheep, with tho exception of a couple of •pens of f.m. ewes, which were' neglected, was sold under the hammer.'
