London, February 19. Mr. P.* Carrington, formerly of Canterbury College, New Zealand, has been award tho Hulseah Prizo at the University of Cambridge.—The "Times." . [The Hulsean Prize at Cambridge is worth from £70 to £80, and dates back to 1789. It is open for competition to graduates below the standing of M.A. The prize was endowed with theppu r pose of encouraging theological inquiry .in defence of tho Christian Teligion, and is awarded for the best dessertetion, on the evidences in general, or the prophecies and miracles in particular, offering direct or collateral argument in support of Christian Truth. Tho subject is announced annually. The Hulsean.lectures (four), at Cambridge, constitute, an. endowment having the same object in view. Mr. Carrington, who is a' son of Canon Carrington, of Christchurch, is a past entrance scholar of the New Zealand, and a Macmillan Prizeman.]
