ISSUE OF THE WRIT.
The writ for the election, of a member for Hawke's Bay district will probably be issued .to-aay.. As. the ivrit is returnable in 28 days/ this means that polling day will be early in March. ' Sir John Findlay went to Hastings yesterday to meet the- people who are interested in his-candidature- and to answer 6uch questions--as they may submit: "He does not propose to ask for their support,- but if they wish him to stand he will accept the nomination. The Hon. W. D. .S. Mac Donald goes north on Sunday night to be present at the meeting in Hastings on Monday,' at- which meeting the Liberal delegates will make their choice. It is regarded as a-foregone conclusion that they will choose Sir John .Findlay., . t
