SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION
$ The thirty-sixth animal meeting of the Wellington Sunday School Union was held last evening. The president, Mr. A. Johnston, was iii. the'chair. There were .20 delegates present. It was reported that matters were well forward in regard to the convention to he held at Nelson during Easter. The application of the Tarariaki Street Methodist School for a long-servico diploma from the parent union for Mr. 'R. P. Hatch, who lias served for 43 years as teacher and superintendent, was endorsed. Several other applications are expected for within tlie next week or two. The annual reports of the secretary, treasurer, and visitors wqre presented and adopted. The following officers for the ensuing year were elected: —President, M'r. Alexander Johnston; vice-presidents, Mr. T. Pettit (Nelson) and Mi-. J. E. Burley;, secretary. Mr. JI. J. Thompson; treasurer, Mr. W. 6. ElaldswoiJthauditor, Mr. It. Tait; visitors, the president and Messrs. B. B. Davis and Richard Brown.
