Mails for United 'Kingdom, America, and all oversea countries, except Australia, will he dispatched from time to time by best route without special notification. Correspondence for all neutral countries is subject to censorship. The advertised time for closing mails by steamers are liable to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. As the last clearance of the city receivers is mado at 5.45 p.m. on Saturdays, all correspondence for tho Sunday night Auckland express must be posted at the Chief Post Office not later than 8 p.m. on Sunday. All the principal malls by train and Bteamer closo at To Aro and Courtenay Place Post Offices at the same hours as at tho Chief Post Office, with tho exception that thore is no late-fee clearance, and that mails by the ferry steamers for southern offices close at 5.45 p.m. Mails for Auckland and Auckland district, per second Main Trunk express, close at Courtenay Placo at 5.45 p.m., and To Aro at t p.m. A.
