When war broke out the authorities realised how necessary motor traction was, l)ut pre-war design did not reach expectations. The experience of the Allies with motor vehicles was carefully recorded, and to-day the machines in use are designed accordingly. No Britinamifactiircr is allowed to build vehielos excent in accordance with War Office specifications, as the Military Authorities reserve the right to commandeer the chassis even when lying at the London Docks ready for export. When -further supplies will bo available nobody can Bay, hut all the evidence indicates the fact that during the next few months tho Army will want all the, motors that aro obtainable.
