A FRESH SOUTHERLY
A fresh southerly breeze came- up yesterday,' and furnished a welcome chango from tho gusty, "muggy" northerly which liad held sway during tho earlier part of tho week. Showers fell in many parts of tho country during tho night. Present indications iiro for variabls weather generally, with moderate to strong south-easters north of East Cape and Kawhia, and southerlica, veering to the north, cls'dvhere.
