RIFLE SHOOTING
$. No. 5 AREA iGROUP MEETING, The No. 5 area group riflo meeting ws held at the Polhill dully range on Saturday. Thero were 100 entries for all classes-35 territorials, 17 senior cadets, and 48 rifle club members. The meeting was to have been opened on the previous Saturday, but the hon. secretary, Lieut. J. Thomson, N.Z.S.C., became ill, and the meeting had to be postponed until Saturday. The executive officer was Captain V. Dunne, with Sergt.-Major 8011, 1.M.1., assisting him, Lieut. Todd, of the Fifth Eegiment, was assistant range officer. Major A. A. Corrigan, chairman of the management committee, visited the range in the course of the day.
