CREDULITY
j am; people easily misled? Credulity is the state o£ believing with- - out evidence or being easily misled. I '.twenty years ago the average man was . decidedly credulous, and was very often 3 victimised by people who look advantage . of his confidence by taking him into all ■\ sorts of doubtful speculations. Nowadays, however, times are changed. and if an agent or salesman wishes to do business he inust bo prepared to produce facts and figures. The days of blind 1 confidence avo gone, and the buyer is now usually • as clever a business man as the seller. This refers particularly to farmers ami - couutry residents. They have learned - their lesson in the hard school of pracfc tical experience, and see to it that they t get full value for their money. This u fact was forcibly brought home to the New Zealand agents for Wizard Lighting Systems two years ago when they stari,7 ed to sell their lighting plants tor country homes, etc. Tho linn knew that p 'Wizard Lamps ivero reliable, but found lit hard to get people to accept their word i for it. To get over the difficulty tho d agents sent out travellers, but instead of s asking farmers and storekeepers to buy ii [outright, they merely got permission to k install a lighting plant in tho house or 0 store, ivith the understanding that tho customer would lmvo the option of puri" chasing at the end of a mcnth, but if he . did not wish to buy, the firm undertook s to remove the plant at its own expense. II Over ;00 complete Wizard Lighting 11 Plants were installed under this arranged ment, and in every case but one the cus,V tomer decided to purchase. Tho one ret. jected plant was not removed owing to ,o any fault, and was immediately sold to a neighbour. In this way the firm was „ able' to convince even the most sceptical that their goods were reliable and as represented. The Wizard Light for country homes is now so well known, and the " agents have secured the confidence of 10 country people to such ar. extent that 13 trial orders are not found necessary, and I- customers prefer to receive the five years' R- guarantee, which goes with each plant, ratliar than havo the month's free trial. 1- Many of New Zealand's leading business ■»' men and most successful i'amcrs are ■]', among tho 2000 Wizard Light users. They . have proved the lighting plant to be eHicicnt, reliable, and economical, and do not hesitate to recommend it to their M friends. 1S Complete Wizard plants are sold as low f as .£ls, and thoy supply an ideal light tor country homesteads, stores, etc. r urther information may be obtained by writing to tho.N.Z. agents Messrs.
