MAGISTRATE'S COURT

Captain W. H. Hennah and Air. D. Keir, J.P.'s. presided over a sitting of the Magistrate's Court yesterday morning. For insobrioty, Thomas Turvey and Richard Arthur Thomas were each fined 55.: Timothy Delaney was convicted and discharged. Murdoch M'lntosh, charged with helpless drunkenness, was remanded for eight days for medical treatment. Joseph Thomas Christie, a soldier, was remanded till January 17 on . a charge, of having, at Palmerston'North, stolon a motor-cycle, valued at- £100, tho property of Eric Stanley Pees. Edgar Thomas Holmes, charged with failing to provide for his wife, was further remanded till to-day, on hail. . Jeremiah M'Mahon, Henry Ernest George Solway, and James Steven O'Neil again appeared on remand on chargos of. causing bodily harm to Howard Webby. Against O'Neil thcro were also charges of assaulting Constable Cox and Adrianus Dirge. The accused were further remanded till today, on bail.
