I A sitting of the Magistrate's Court 1 yesterday morning was presided over [ by Messrs. J. W. Ellison and R. Wil- ] berfoss, J.P.'s. ( For insobriety, Alfred Raynor was fined os., with the usual alternative.' Two seamen, Neil M'Kinnon and Arthur Mason Miles, were convicted of breaking the peace in Bunny- Street, and were ordered to be put on board ■ their respective vessels. > Edmond Giligan was remanded to 1 January 10 on a charge of indecent assault at "Wellington on January 1. On a charge of causing actual bodily ' harm to Axel Aberg, John Ohlsson was : remanded to January 10. Joseph lluanc, who appeared on re- ; mand, was convicted of vagrancy and : discharged, on condition that he went i into camp forthwith. For loistering in Cambridge Terrace : for the purpose of prostitution. May ! Birch was fined 405.. with the alterna- . tive. of seven days' imprisonment. !
