SOLDIERS AND CHURCH SERVICES
A SUGGESTION. Sir,—l am taking tho liberty of writing to you on account of the publicity niy letter will obtain should you print it. I' wish through your agency to make a suggestion, which camo to mo in thiswise: I attended tho evening service at St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral, and heard an excellent sermon proached by tho vicar; but the absence of the soldier was most pronounced. I think threo men in khaki was all one could count. The suggestion I havo to make is that a special invitation he extended to any and all soldiors in town on Sunday evenings, with direction whero the piaco is, and how to get there. Many of tho mon aro utter strangers to Wellington, and they simply wander round from pillar to post, not knowing whero to go of what to do. I Icavo it at that. Possibly something, more could bo done than is being done.—l am, etc., ST. PAUL'S. January 1, 1917.
