\ Tho weekly meeting of the Rugby Union Committee was held last evening, Mr.' D. D. Weir presiding. Dr. M'Evedy wrote in connection with., medical attendance for players, and stated that as tho union was in a weak financial position he would donate his last season's fees as a donation to the union. A protest was lodged by Oriental Club against the win of Poneke Fifth Class, alleging that Poneke played a boy over age. It was decided to investigate. . A protest wag lodged, by St._ John's against the 'Hutt Club for playing in tho same jerseys as St. John's, and it was decided to make inquiries. 1 E. W. Smyrke (referee) reported ordering off two players of the Poneke and University Clubs respectively. One player attended, and his explanation was accepted as satisfactory. The Poneke player did not attend, and ho was suspended meantime. An application was made by the-Petone Club for permission to play a St. Patrick's College player during the vacation, it was decided to point out that the rules would not permit of this. Tho following first-grade fixtures were made for June 24: Athletic y Petone, Athletic Park, No.. 1; University v. Selwyn, Athletic I'ark, No. 2; Poneke v. Old Boys, Petone; Oriental v. Wellington College, College; Wellington v. Upper Hutt, Upper Hutt. Mr. 11. C. Mayer was elected to fill a vacancy on the committee. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY.
