Mr. Featherstone, of Ingleivood; relating that a widow had four sons killed , and three yet went to AYell- ; ington to bid God-speed to lier eighth son when lie was loaving for the' front. The King instructed Sir Thomas Mac- -. kenzie to convey his admiration of the widow's patriotism and , self-sacrifice, courageous resignation with which die had borne her heavy loss, and the willingness with which she had given her eighth and last child at the country's call.
