PRICE OF SUGAR IN NEW ZEALAND
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunodin, January 19 xhe cabled, information tliat the price of sugar has been advanced by the Commonwealth Government by £3 15s. per. ton caused uneasiness in Dunedin, antL-during the last few days the grocers have had more than the usual number of orders for sugar, there evidently being a feeling that an increase in Australia will be followed by an increase in the Dominion. The New Zealand Food Commissioners, however, have arranged the price for at £21 per ton with the Colonial Sugar Company to stand till the end of June next, and do not deem, therefore, that there can be any alteration in swar values in New Zealand till the expiry ot that term.
