GERMAN OFFENSIVE ON BREST LITOVSK Amsterdam, August 24. . A German communique states:—Prince Leopold, near the Forest of Bialowieska. took prisoner 4500 Russians. Wo stormed, on tho south-west, front of Brest-Litovsk, some heights near Kopvtof. Our troops are advancing through tho marsliv districts north-east of Vlodava, and pursuing the enemy.
