Hill, secretary of the Patriotic Society, has received from Miss Linda Glennie, of . Berhampore, a decorated cushion, measuring 2ft. 6in. square, for raffling purposes. The cushion, which is a work of art, was made solely by Miss Glennie, x a young girl of lfi years,. 9'nd worked with the flags of the Allies', and in the centre is an oil painting of H.M.S. New Zealand in action, worked, in khaki. The: cushion will be raffled in conjunction- with the J!4000 worth of Waikato '.land, tickets for which will be available nest week.
