Mr. Edward M'Keown, the tenor of J, C. Williamson's Gilbert and Sullivan Comic Opera Company, is a eon of the Rev. Robert M'Keown, who has been for thirty years rector of St. Mary's Church of England, Waverley, Sydney. Mr. M'Keown received Ills musical education in England, and was for a number of years leading tenor with the London, Gilbert and Sullivan Company. In various concert engagements in London Mr._ Edward M'Keown has appeared at different times on the same programme as Ada Crossley, Madame Melba, Kennerley Rumford, Clara Butt, and Mdme. do Vore S'apio, all well known to Australian lovers of music.
