SUMMARY AND FORECAST Present indications arc Jor variable winds strong south-easterly to easterlies northward ol East Oape and Kawhia, and increasing northorlies and we6tr erlies elsewhere. Unsettled conditions in the northernmost and southernmost districts, and warm, dull, and misty at times elsewhere. The barometer is unsteady, with a falling tendency everywhere soon. Kain has fallen on the West Coast of the South island, but very warm and fair to cloudy and hazy weather has prevailed with moderate to strong- westerly winds generally.
