A' "DANGEROUS" MAN. Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., presided over a sitting of the Magistrate's Court on Saturday morning. "This is a dangerous man, your Worship," said Inspector Ilendrey in summing up tho past of an individual named George Moore, cliarged with being a rogue and a vagabond, in that he 'habitually consorted with women of ill-reputo. The inspector stated how accused worked occasionally, but spent most of his time hanging round corners in the worst parts of tho city "cadging" for drinks. Several complaints had been received by tho polico of men being robbed while they were drunk, and accused was strongly 'suspected or participating in such thefts. ''The, City of Wellington is going to be-a mighty unhealthy place for men of this class," concluded the inspector. "There are quite a number ot these men in the city, and I want to warn tliem." Accused, who had beon previously convicted of all manner of offences, from keeping a sly grog shop to assault and theft, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment by the magistrate.
