MANAWATU HUNT.
Fine weathor favoured the Hutt branch of the Manawatu Hunt'.Club for its fortnightly meet on Friday'.last. The run commenced at Mr. Manning's- (White's Line), thence through the properties of Messrs. Stewart*and Cameron, across the Racecourse Road on to Messrs. August and Augerstein's paddocks, including part of the old Hutt Racecourse. Several riders successfully negotiated the difficult water jump. Tlio drag was laid by Messrs. C: F. Vallance (on Nora Creina) and W. Treseder (Black Birch). Messrs. J. Sexton, huntsman (Papa) and B. Vallance, whip (Bootpatch) controlled the pack, and Deputy-master A. If. Samuel (Cnura) was in charge of the field.' ■ ' Followers and visitors included Miss Burke (Grandee), Miss Harris (Stonewall Jackson), Messrs. Samuel (Scamp), H. Drummond (Drummer Boy), J. Adama (Arlington), W. Burrows (Mazah), C. Davis (Daisy Bsll), E. Evison (Complexity), W. .Tones (Wainui), S. Maxwell (Clover), W. Walsh (Sh- Mauser), D. K. Buchanan (Ebony), D. M'Kay (Bob Whiteman), C. B. Walker (Oakley), J. Seymour (Sylvia), W. Eeynolds (Fre»step), H. D. Buchanan, anrl others. , Visitors and friends were, entertained, with members, by Mr. A. M. Samuel at his house after the run.
