Lord Murray of Elibauk, in his evidence before tho Marconi' Committee of the Houso of Lords, touching upon the investment of party funds,, tho purchase of coal shares during tho strike, said that ho instructed Fenner (the agent who conducted tho transactions) 'to invest a certain amount of party funds in Homo securities, leaving Fenner to select tho stock. All the purchases were made as investments. The witness said that he was not possessed of information on political matters which wore-not open to the general public through the press. Although the coal strike jvas on, he had no information from Ministers about it. Ho' saw no impropriety in investing in railway stocks. Fenner changed tho stocks from one railway to another in order to secure better dividends. Paris, March 24. _ Fenner, the absconding stockbroker, IB still awaiting extradition. -
