MOTOR-CYCLE SPORTS.
HAWSE'S BAT CLUB CARNIVAX. (By Tclceranh.—Press Association.) Hastings, November 1. The Hawke's Bay Motor Cycle Club hold its sports on the racecourso this afternoon. The grass race-track was used, which, though not banked, gave a circle of over a mile in circumference, permitting tho attainment of great sj>eed. A five-milo race was won in tho fast time of smin. 28scc. Tho three speed events wero won by J. L. Braithwaite, on a 3i li.p. Triumph. The winner is but a lad, but ho showed great skill and admirable nerve at the bonds. Results:—
