NEW VICAR OF ST. MARK'S.
THE REV. C. F. ASKEW APPOINTED. At yesterday morning's service at St. Mark's Anglican Church Sussex Square, the Rev. A. M. Jolmson, who has been appoiuted vicar of St. Paul's parish, Thcrndon, announced that his successor at St. Mark's would be tho Rev. Charles Frederick Askew, of Ingrow Vicarage, Keighley, Yorkshire, in tho Diocese of Ripon. Mr. Askow was educated at St. Peter's College, Cambridge, taking his B.A. degreo in 1900, He was ordained (leacoh tho safneyetfr find priest in. 1901. He was curate of Laistcr-Dyko from 1900 to 190G, when he was appointed vicar of Ingrow iby the Bishop of Ripon. Mr. Askew is 41 years of age, aiid is a married man without a family. lie is a good preacher. He is highly recommended by both Bishop Wallis ar.d Canon TupperCarey (one of the English missioners who visited New Zealand last year), and is understood to be particularly good with men.
