MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.

A large number of sailors met at th« Missions to Seamen Institute yesterday and proceeded to' Mrs. Rhodes's Estate, AVadestown:, where'-a picnic took place. All kinds of sports were held under the direction of Sir. Moore, the missioner,tlie following winning prizes-.—Messrs. Gotz, Stone,'Kelsey, Bradcock, Scaife (2), Young (3), A\ W.-Bull (2), Patton, Zihus, Shepherd, Freeman, Foreman, and, Craw (2). A concert was provided 'in the evening bv Mrs. J. Blundell in the Institute. There'was a large, audience. The musical arrangements were in the hands of Miss Ea*soii, the following contributing itemsto the programme solo, Miss Betty; song, Mr. Gondie; recitation, Miss Dix; -song, Mrs.' lugerton; song, Jfisa recitation,* Mr. Cottrell; song, .Mr. Shepherd ..(Orari); duet, Mrs. lugerton and Miss Easson.' Mrs. J. W. Eassoc and Miss Easson played the- accompaniments; ' A number of popular choruses vcro .'sung by the audience, and an amusing conundrum competition was won bv sailors from ships-in port... During tile concert Mrs. Williams, presented theorizes won during the day to the winners.
