Bevan, tho wellknown Nonconformist minister,-in.a sermon in.the Pitt Street Church,- said, the Church's great danger was'its formulas, fine buildings, and grand organs. It had become dogmatic, official, and institutional, and had ceased to be the'kingdom that Christ declared to be "within you." Most of the social conditions to-day were those of force and. property;
•Referring to the continuance-of tho Jewish people, Dr. Bevan declared:—
"You won't go to war till the Jew tells you you may. You, are dominated by a nationless,, homeless, despised people—tho scattered children of IsTael,"
