STATEMENT -BY THE MINISTER.

In the Chamber of Deputies, Refaat Pasha, the Foreign Minister;. referring to the recent pourparlers between the Kaiser and the Tsar at Potsdam,, said ho was convinced that the interests of Turkey in the Persian .Gulf. would not suffer'.
He,denied that pourparlers had taken plaop between Germany and Britain upon, the Bagdad Railway question. Turkey had been assured that such pourparlers would only - take place .with her. There-was the greatest, cordiality in Anglo-Turkish • relations. . ! ■ The' Chamber approved the statement.
