. INSURGENTS VICTORIOUS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. New York, January 13. A'battle was foilght at Las Vascas, Mexico, between; the Rural Guards and .insurgents. The Guards were' in overwhelmingly superior numbers; nevertheless, eighteen insurgents drove them off with heavy losses. The fight lasted three hours, when the Federals withdrew. The insurgents buried nine dead bodies before retreating to their mountain stronghold.
