REIKORANGI.
Some little time ago p.-correspondent, referring to Mr. Henry Jajnes Burling, the local centenarian, stated that his age was 103, and not 110 years. It appears, however. that tlie H. J. Burling referred to bv the correspondent may be a cousin to jtr. H. J. Burling, of AVaikanae, as the AVaikanae centenarian's - father's. name .was Thomas Burling (not James as the correspondent stated), and his mother's name was Hary Aniie. What might have proved a fatal accident occurred recently to Miss Jessie Burling. While out riding the horse bolted, and collided with some calves which were wandering on tho road, tho result being that horse and rider came down.. Miss Burling sustained a broken . collar-bono and a severe shaking. Tho local creamery is nutting through about 1200 gallons per day. This beats last year's record. Another sawmill is about to begin work liere. This is being erected by Mr. Norman Campbell.' at the 'Mangone Road, and ho' has somo of the machinery already on the ground.
