ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
$ FOUND DEAD IN A WHARE. (By Teleerauh—Press Association.) Taihape, Juno 80. Martin Grace, employed at Perham and Larson's sawmill, Itangataua, was found dead in a whare yesterday. At tho inquest a verdict was returned that heart disease was tho cause of death. Deceased came from Oakley, Victoria, and was aged 41, and single. ' CHILD'S SUDDEN DEATH. Taihape, June 130. The seven-year-old son of Mr. T. Downs died suddenly yesterday at Ohutu. Tho causo is to diphtheria. FOUND ON THE RAILWAY. Ounedin, June 30. William Porteous, aged about sixty, was found dead on the railway lino near St. Leonard's Station at daylight this morning. He is known to have travelled from Dunedin by the first train, and it is surmised ho tried to alight, at St. Leonard's before the train stopped, nis skull was fractured by tho concussion.
