A number of German prize cattle which bad been forwarded to the Argentine Ceatennial Exhibition were not allowed to land—on the ground that they were suffering from tuberculosis—and had to be taken back to Hamburg.
German agricultural newspapers aro chagrined, and insinuate that the exclu, sion o!;' tlio cattlo was due to British intrigue, British breeders fearing German competition.
