BOYS' INSTITUTE.

On Tuesday night a "junior rally" was held under the auspices of the Religious and Social Committees of the Wellington. Boys' Institute, to organise the weekly junior meeting. About 50 boys were present, and were enrolled in four teame under Masters A. Owens, J. Kelly, H. ■Reid, and G. Barras. Ba B atello and

"Bobs" were-played, and'the first games of Ihe junior draughts championship fi.xtures got pff. The general secretary gave a brief address at the conclusion of tho games, referring to his la to Majesty King Edward VII, whose portrait, draped in mourning, adorns the wall. Supper was then served by a. committee of ladies from . St. John's Y/W.B.C. The Social Committee acknowledge with thanks the gift of two cues and a "Bobs" outfit from Messrs. Wright, Banish, and Co.
