TARANAKI PETROLEUM.
(HI TELEGRAM—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) New Plymouth, October 22. Operations at the Taranaki petroleum works are still confined to cleaning out No. 2 well. On Monday thirteen barrels of, pure oil were obtained, on Tuesday twelve barrels, and on Wednesday ten barrels. When all the silt accumulated at the bottom of the well has been cleaned out, a more accurate idea of the condition of things will bo obtained.
